In Edinburgh

Well, ive been in edinburgh for about a week now, and already im starting my second job.

The bus trip to edinbugh was long and uneventful, except for one thing; at our rest stop, about half way thru the trip, i got off the bus to get food with steph. We had our food quickly and went back to the bus. we found another bus had rocked up but quickly found out that neither of them were going to edinbugh, in fact they were going the other way, back to london.

luckily, the other bus drivers called our bus and told him to come back. the reason y we were left behind was because we saw our driver still iun the little roadside diner, so we thought we were ok. however there was a change of driver, and he just got on the bus and drove off. there was no head count before we started the trip, and thanks to sleepy passangers, no one noticed that we werent there.

we especially gave daniel shit for that little slip up.

we arrived in edingburgh and dan and i set out to find out hostel. I had done no research before arriving here, so it was foremost on our minds. we eventually found our hostel, and found they had weekly specials going on for people who book monday to monday. so we did that, and they asked how long we r going to be staying. we told them we r looking for jobs and we didnt know how long we r staying. they then told us they had 3 positions just open up the other day. the deal was that we work about 16 hrs a week for our accomodation. dan and i got the cleaning jobs and steph got the receptionist job.

ever since that last monday, we have been working and looking for jobs.

ive spent several days pounding the pavement with dan and steph looking for jobs. ive had 3 call back, which im stoked about. dan and steph have had 1 between them. i got a job at walkabout for 2 days, but that fell thru for obvious resons. then i got a call back from a clothing store 2 doors up from the hostel for a half indoor sales position and for a sort of security posityion outside the store supervising displayed stock...me a security guard? never...

any way i start this new job on thursday and my first pay will be in cash, then after that it will be deposited into my account. all i have to do now is stall on getting an NI number (which i cant get n e way) i reckon i can stall them by about 12 weeks at the most.

first of all i stall making an appointment. then, 3 weeks later (thats how long it takes to get an appointment) ill miss it, and re book another one. 6 weeks gone there already, ontop of that i can stall for a few weeks, even more before even making the appointment. 12 weeks right there. by that time ill be leaving.

im a dodgy fucker
